BCN Check in and security wait times

What’s the current situation @ BCN for check in and security?

Departing 08am. Trying to work out the time required to leave.

thanks

Check-in online beforehand.

If hand baggage only and using BA priority lines I would not leave any earlier than normal. Even with luggage I would not be overly concerned as you can use the Gold desks. If it were me, I would probably arrive at the same time as normal.

I've always found BCN security times to be fairly good. I think my last two trips last month were 15mins max. (one at 1030h, one at 1430h)

Flew back hand luggage only at 10am on Monday and the fast track queue was pretty short

Check-in can be slow between about 8am and noon if one of the mega cruise ships has just docked full of Brits and Americans flying home via LHR with stacks of luggage.

But they are not likely to be clogging up the Gold and Silver desks.

Plenty of them fly CE and from bitter experience I can assure you that yes, they are.

Flew out this afternoon. Security was <10 minutes, but passport control to access the D/E gates was nearly 1 hour.
