"offer and fixed rate debt instrument fully protected by the UK's claim scheme."

Oh yeah, I'm definitely sold, all it needs is an endorsement from Martin Lewis and I'll go ahead and invest my kids college funds...

These days 3.3% isn't a great rate of return either. I can pick a number of blue chip companies offering a greater dividend return.

I’m not impressed. It was sent to an email address not associated with my Executive Club account which I used to use for bookings, and despite having opted out of all marketing communications.

Head for Points is saying it is a scam and not to reply in anyway, shape or form

On HfP Rob is suggesting it could be linked to the BA data leak from a short time ago.

Can anyone really have thought anything different?

My only disappointment was in not finding more sarcastic replies to read in this thread. We're slacking.

Well, I guess in light of some of the more fanciful stuff BA actually do publish on their (official) website, some folk might be forgiven for concluding that this was in fact 100% genuine.

(Is that sarcastic enough …. )

First two posters seemed convinced. If you get it, it is very well done - although wouldn’t fool a finance pro for a second.

There is a far better scheme that a long lost cousin of mine, who is a Nigerian prince apparently, is running. I have invested thousands over the last 20 years and I fully expect to be a millionaire very, very soon. Anyone interested?😂

It was much appreciated! It did make me laugh.

Now, can someone please put me in touch with that Nigerian prince?
