Didn't even get as far as loading the 3D secure. The middle of the page turned white, as if loading then disappeared and went straight to payment failed/card declined. |

Eventually we go through to Barclaycard's Verified by Visa Team, and her account (Verified by Visa) has no mobile number to send a text to, despite it being in her Barclaycard account. Got the transaction through using brute force, and was told she wold get a text to confirm her mobile number had been updated. No text has been received and I'm not hopeful that anything will work tonight when we try to make another purchase.... |

So they assume it is lost in the post and are issuing a new card. The wait for the new card is 4-5 days, so circa Mar 18. I asked about the statement as I could not access it. There is a £20 membership charge on my account already, I asked for this to be removed as it doesn’t make sense to charge me for a card that has not been activated. £20 has been refunded to my card. The person I spoke with confirmed the 3 month welcome period started on Feb 28. Apparently card policy means this cannot be changed or delayed. This seems grossly unfair as I have no card yet and probably won’t receive the replacement card until Mar 18 but they weren’t budging on it. I was on the call for 1 hour 15. For anyone else who has not received your card, I suggest ringing as soon as you can as the clock is ticking on the welcome bonus. “We're very sorry about the delay in receiving your new Avios Barclaycard. It was due to an issue that has now been fixed and your card should be with you imminently. Thanks for bearing with us. Your Barclaycard Team” I’m not sure I want the card anymore. The few people who have received it are reporting: activation issues 3D secure not working unable to make payments against card balance unable to activate Apple offer no Apple Pay The product is clearly not fit for purpose and should be withdrawn by Barclays. |

Finally got the card activated an hour ago. First online transaction for £10 declined.... called up fraud team and they can't even find my account. What a cluster**ck

Different member of the fraud team now said that MasterCard 3DS cannot be activated for 6 working days on a new card, and as the card was just activated today, it will be next week until I can complete any more online transactions requiring further authentication. I was just about to put £6,000 through on flight bookings. Back to Amex. What a joke.

Card arrived today - happened to need to buy something for £1667 which was handy, of course, declined several times then used my amex…

It's not like they're encouraging people to spend early with some sort of bonus or anything. |
If I didn’t know better I would of thought that Barclaycard were new to the credit card business.

Received a text yesterday (15 Mar) apologising for the delay in receiving the new card.
I actually received it on the 11th and like others here have been unable to make large on-line purchases. I wonder how many accounts will be cancelled after people have received the bonus Avios (if they don't give up before). |
