JNB flight cancelled - rebook to CPT??

JNB flight cancelled - rebook to CPT??
We are flying LHR-JNB in March and when BA cancelled our flight (one of two each day on the route at that time) they moved our ticket to cancelled status, with rebooking options.
I can of course just fly on the other JNB flight that is still going, but I wonder whether this now allows me to change (one or both) legs to CPT?
