BA Concorde Room Worth $300 For Visit?

Looking at a flight itinerary to Europe and am picking destination based on cheapest price for a F ticket. I can go to a T3-departure city for $300 less than the cheapest T5-departure city. So the question is... is the Concorde Room visit (the advantage of flying outta T5 rather than T3) worth the fare difference? I'm flying in from JFK so I would've seen the Concorde Room there just prior

Please help convince me one way or the other... I'm on the fence about it

(Also a quick check that one has access to the Concorde Room upon arrival from a F flight provided the connection is T5)

No. Next question

You would have access on arrival of you did choose to though.

Not worth it and don't even let the the $300 for CCR access come into it. Instead think is the final destination worth $300 more.

Personal opinion: If the T3 lounges (I'm thinking Qantas, Cathay...) are open I'd 100% choose T3 over T5 (as I enjoy the food and drink on offer in those lounges more than the CCR, but that's me).
Regarding the status of the lounges, however, I'm not sure if they are open as usual or not.

Gin and squid in Qantas would suffice (if still available..)
Shame about Cathay though, hopeful it'll ever open again?

Why 4? LPGS currently retails at £125 per bottle in the UK so break-even point would be less than 2 bottles

Another option to factor in based on the travel date would be the ability to rebook free of charge at a later point when part of the booked trip gets canceled/rescheduled.

Like many (most?) posters here, I personally do not believe it is worth it. Having said that, my experience with many years on FT is that when someone asks a "is it worth it" question, generally, they have already decided to do it and are just looking for positive affirmations. On the occasions those positive affirmations don't come, the poster usually ends up doing it anyhow.

I guess we shall see how this one pans out...

Regards

I'm sure it'll reopen, but i suspect the glory days of a 3 course meal on a cheap BA ticket to Europe in the First lounge are gone.

It might be worth $300 to someone who's cash rich and on an exceptionally long layover if the alternative is browsing shops and waiting for the gate to open. To someone who has access to ok lounges anyway and wonders if CCR is worth a $300 premium ... As the man said, next question.
