BA Charter Flights - noteworthy movements

I better say something coherent here in case I get tidied up by our lovely mods: if only this was a daily service between Gatwick and Merseyside.

completely agreed – that would be absolutely amazing as indeed would a Gatwick to Leeds. I still missed the Gatwick Newcastle and also the Plymouth service. 😫

I still fondly remember flying PLH-NQY-LGW and back direct LGW-PLH in 2003...

Just purely out of curiosity, what kind of charters do BA operate now?

Football clubs tend to be able to afford BA charter rates!! That’s where I often see them heading especially when’s there European cup games.

I miss hearing about the Concorde charters. Some of them sounded like very good fun.

Agree. We sent the in laws on one over the Bay of Biscay (quite a few years ago). Most relevant for my FIL who worked at RR.
They LOVED it.

PS I am still hoping that Boom (or whoever) brings back a fast plane and IAG buys it. Fingers crossed,

Well given the existing "commitment backlog" from the US carriers, IAG wont be early to that party! But will get there in the end - assuming this actually comes to fruition. Are they looking at a "green" version to protect against environmental redundancy shortly after EIS!!!
Is it United with a large order?

I don't know if this counts, but a travel agency in Jersey charters BA flights to a handful of European destinations from Jersey, on a weekly basis.

They're expensive, but you avoid London, and it's straight there and straight back, no stopping.
