Business Traveller Awards 2020

It seems BA did quite well at the Business Traveller Awards this year. Although I’m skeptical about the travel app...

Best lounge for the Concorde Room? It has been closed most of the 2020!

This is interesting. I must say the new Slimline Recaro seats aren’t the best though.

Apart from BAEC and LHR, there’s nothing I like about BA.

It beggars belief - in a year when people could not travel very much for all sorts of reasons - they are still having their stupid and meaningless awards? I may be cynical but I could say that same about FTAs - or any of them. 2020 has been been spent lurching from one travel restriction to another. I await with trepidation the economic fallout and the slump that looms imminent. I suspect that a lot less people will have jobs, and that a lot of Business People will be traveling in Bob class if they get to travel at all.

As with all of these Awards, it really depends on the readership - there's no objective analysis/scoring of the different airlines.

Us Brits love to vote for anything British, pretending that we have the best of everything...

Is this another of those awards that’s only available to airlines that pay significant sums of money to enter, either directly or indirectly (e.g. through advertising)?

I mean it’s not all bad over at BA. It depends on what the criteria for ‘Best Short Haul Airline’ was.

If it was punctuality then BA does very well, customer service again BA does well, scale of network it also succeeds, speed of refunds is good, WIFI and charging points are a plus too. I’m not saying they’re the best, but you have to think about what was taken into account. It’s not all about physical items and the onboard product.
