Redemption avios charge
I remember a few years ago reading that there was something funny about redeeming flights ex-Brazil in terms of it giving you much higher fees if you booked on ba.con Vs avios.com. On ba it was hundreds but it was two digits on avios.com, so I'd transfer all my miles over and book there.
Indeed that still seems to be the case. On the price page, it says it'll be 30k avios plus about 25, whereas when I click continue, it then gives me a price of about 200.
Now that avios.com is no longer a thing though...does anyone know of any way to get it to honour the honour price?

My mother is resident in Brazil and has BA account but only a handful of miles so can't bypass the residency thing sadly.
