My Dear - that is a very good question and one which you need to ask BA? Apart from sarcastic and ironic retorts, no one here knows. They may guess and guess well - but they have no more idea than you do. Personally I would call it cheeseparing. Indeed I could be a snotty cow and say that CDG-TUN is two-thirds the distance between LHR and IST and they have the effrontery to oblige the crew to hand someone here a Beetroot and Carrot sandwich? It simply isn't good enough. They are now using enough plastic to choke that Swedish child were she ever to set foot on an aircraft.

Swedish child, 😂

Joking aside, we’re hardly surprised that BA have used COVID-19 to cut costs, they’ve used every opportunity in the past. The problem at the moment is that lack of competition & a desperation for (some) of the public to travel means they’ll get away with it. Only in time will BA’s behaviour be judged versus its peers.

Virgin are being lambasted about refunds while BA seem to have behaved ok. Aer Lingus (the value carrier in the IAG transatlantic group) still offer hot meals in J. By all accounts the food on LH European J hasn’t deteriorated but was worse than BA to start with etc etc. By all means show your displeasure but the real action will come when all of this is behind us. The true mark of loyalty will be shown in times of crisis & that goes both ways...

I've never actually eaten a menu before. I suppose it will be a new experience on my flight back to the UK in the autumn. Hopefully, I will enjoy my menu.

Ice and lemon on yesterday’s flight back from Corfu. The chicken and coleslaw sandwich was predominantly mayonnaise! Also had a basket of snacks of biscuits and crisps to offer people in CE. Another fantastic crew and excellent flight

Adding to the excitement, it’s also a handmade menu! Yum!

Disappointing, BA - especially the CW offering long-haul. Yes - we get it - you 'want to minimize touchpoints' but below is the domestic US meal service on JetBlue Mint right now (the left two dishes were heated). Be better.

Main Meal Trio

According to some people here, BA cannot offer that as they will put yourself and the crew at risk.... Government guidelines are crystal clear!

And I reiterate a point I made previously - what, other than cost, is stopping BA serving the boxed First (née Economy) hot square meals to Business Class (incl Band 3/4 CE)?

Has anyone had any joy getting a can of the Brewdog Speedbird IPA onboard?

On a recent AMS trip the CE trolley had none..
