It really depends on multiple factors, but mostly demand and yield in the market. I would argue that it will be led by market yields and not much else. Avios seats aren’t ‘free’ to BA - there’s the YQ from the passenger and the (flat rate) revenue stream from AGL for the miles used. If commercial yields are high because capacity is low and demand returns, they won’t need to ‘sell’ redemptions. If yields are low, then it really makes little difference whether it’s sold publicly or for Avios, so there will be more available.

As for which of these will play out, I doubt even BA knows yet. Probably both at different times and on different routes. Looking at CIHY’s balls is probably as good a measure as any other right now.

Sorry to intrude on this private moment, but it sounds like the infamous hairbrush may have been involved....

“Oh, you are awful, but I like you”

Older British readers may recall that phrase.

I said that I would never tell but since Pucci has been so rude about my plums I will tell you, she is the spitting image of Mandy, can someone supply a picture?

I would suggest BA generally release reward seats to help them fill up seats (when it makes sense to sell some seats below their lowest available cash price point). Some routes may take some time to re-establish themselves so i'd expect to see quite a few reward seats.

If they still have some cash then BA may try to gently ramp up supply to encourage demand
- to (re)create the market
- so they can steal a slice of the market before competitors return / are born

Uneducated prediction - it might become an exciting time to have Avios next year

Where I live (a county which has a slightly poor reputation thanks to a certain reality show), mine can be decorated with crystals at a few shops...

What was the question again?

Plums???? Raisins more like and even more wrinkled as memory serves. You swore that you would never reveal my name in public and even now you cannot remember it. I was not Mandy - I was Karen and National Airlines used my name and my image in it's "I'm Karen. Fly Me" campaign.

You on the other hand were known as Oddjob - as you actually did the Odd Job now and again before you became a CSD. You were, it is true, very hands on. Most of us fled as we could not get your hands off. Do you still have that badge from Singapore with Lethario - Cabin Service Stud.

There! There's more where that came from, and I have refrainws from telling them about your dentures in a glass in the First Class Galley as my discretion is as secure as yours.

(In case anyone doesn't know - I am proud to call CIHY a friend - so don't be concerned. If I was polite to him, he'd be extremely concerned and vice-versa).

What this has to do with Crystal Balls I do not knoe, but I fully expect postings on here from Mystic Meg as her guess is good as anyone's XX
