BA252/253 Cancelled to GCM - holes in runway

BA252/253 Cancelled to GCM - holes in runway
So GCM is closed to to holes in the runway - they were stripping some of the runway to expand it but went too deep hit a sinkhole and now the whole airport is closed. hopefully no one needs an air ambulance tonight.

The airport says they will reopen tomorrow, one of the local news outlets says at least 2 days to fix it.

Fingers crossed as my wife is due to fly out to see my son who is in hospital, yesterday’s flight was also cancelled - not sure why.

issue was fairly local, it got to Nassau

It left Nassau - went to Grand Cayman did not land and returned to Nassau, problems with a small island.
