He went out to Canada a few days later so wasn’t a short trip and BA would cover ski equipment rental.

There’s also every chance it arrives earlier than 3 days.

What a very sad individual, Mr Jones I mean, not the pilot. It looks like the pilot might have been reading The Sun on PressReader. How that is a ‘news story’ is baffling.

Wow, some people really can’t stay out of other people’s business. The accountant should have remembered the fundamental principle of confidentiality and not shared pictures of what is on other people’s iPads. I feel sorry for the pilot.

I could be mistaken here, but it looks like said 'soft porn' is actually Britain's biggest-selling daily newspaper. Something which Britain's biggest-selling daily newspaper appears not have noticed in its article.

A non-story and hopefully the pilot doesn't get into any bother over this.

It was also reported in the DM, but thought the currant bun link would be more fun keeping in mind the 'soft porn' in question.

Amazed that someone would report this, can we expect an entry in the 'How much Avios comp did you get' thread shortly? 😏

I’m more concerned he was reading the Sun than soft porn. The latter is so what, the former disgusting.

As others have said, I'm more offended that a professional pilot would be stooping so low as to read The Sun. I wouldn't want to be flown by anyone who doesn't read a respectable broadsheet. Standards, darlings.

Me too! For the nosey, prying accountant an apology from BA and an assurance that 'appropriate action' would be taken, wasn't enough - he had to go running to the Sun with the story and the pics he took of their own newspaper (for which, I suspect, he will have been paid). I too hope the pilot doesn't get in bother and can concentrate on his flying and his life rather than the possibility of an unjust, upcoming disciplinary.
I wonder what David Jones, '35, flying to China's', own professional body would think of his own behaviour?

The Sun (that much-loved organ of our British media, judging from a few recent posts upthread) reports on an announcement allegedly made ‘mid-flight’ by CC to the effect that prices shown on the BoB menu were subject to an immediate 10% increase. The sector involved was ATH-LHR.
I personally have minimal first-hand experience of the High Life café but am assuming (??) that this little brouhaha stemmed from the changeover to the new menu, just released ……..
