Hmmm, interesting timing ... I am due to be in Europe around then with no concrete plans and I've always wanted to go to HEL.

Will definitely keep this on my radar!!

What a coincidence. Perhaps I should head to Helsinki by car, coach or train to see how you chaps sustain the weather, while pointing and snickering.

Quick question as I was looking at booking these flights as it would allow me to obtain my gold upgrade voucher. It looks like I can only book BA flight and not Finnair. If I do same day change, can I move it onto Finnair like I do with Iberia with the Madrid flights. Thank you.

Yes, the sale fare is BA flights only I am afraid. SDC should only be between BA metal flights so moving to AY isn't included in that.

I’ve never had any issue moving my Madrid flights onto an Iberia flight with a BA code, however I will just stick to the BA flight and if I can change it then great.

That route is a bit odd though - I think there are IB flight operating under prime BA flight numbers for example. I wouldn't try to extrapolate on the basis of that route. By all means try and report back if you manage it, but people in the know have posted on here to say it's BA metal only for SDC,

I tried to SDC my HEL flight to an AY one last weekend with no success - it wasn't an option in the app.

Well I'm in, at least as far as a flight LHR-HEL gets me!

Still undecided on how to get back to Canada, but that's sorta irrelevant (that INV-YVR deal is mighty tempting, but booking long haul OW feels so strange to me).

I too find my self in Hel that weekend staying at the Hilton (tier point collection year ends Feb 8th!) I do however have the other half with me who already considers my Flyertalk interactions odd so not sure introducing her to real FT’ers will help my case😄

I’ve had an early 2020 TP run approved by Mrs T so, put me down as a definite maybe! PUCCI GALORE would be proud!
