Unfortunately no I can’t say where I heard it. But save to say I’m not the only one who posed the question around the same time, it was also posted on social media & the BALPA forum at similar times and I’m pretty sure we didn’t hear from the same source.
As others have said, the silence is deafening. Whether the rumour I heard was accurate or not, Cruz has seemingly gone to ground in the midst of another crisis so surely that can’t help his cause. Though I do concede that this could all be part of a campaign by vested interests to oust him

Is Alex Cruz leaving BA?
Hi all
During a discussion with a couple of the crew on my flight home yesterday, they told me that “don’t quote us” but Alex Cruz is leaving very soon.
They made a point of saying usually they’re the last to find out BA news but apparently a big announcement is due and internally this is well known.
Can anyone confirm this?

Yes this is either more playground rumours and staff are really fed up that they are stirring the pot or something more serious is boiling in the background.

It wouldn't be the least surprising if the crew's info came from Flyertalk itself in a roundabout way; these sort of rumours have a habit of feeding themselves.
(On a tangent, the best example are countless cases where something is said on Wikipedia without a source, a sloppy journalist/blogger repeats what's in the Wikipedia article.
An editor then comes across the unsourced material, does a Google search, finds the website with the quote and lists that as the source.
And voila, false information which is self perpetuating!)

In order to keep all rumours in the same place, a further - near identical - thread has been merged into here. Given there is still no confirmed source (Galley FM doesn’t really count!), the thread will remain closed.
