The Complimentary Food and Drink

1st time flying with BA this October to JFK from LHR, been before direct from Edinburgh but was on AA flights via BA Holidays

With the complimentary food and drink, understand out with the meal service, can go to the galley or call CC for extra food and drink?

Any info on what is on offer, any pics of selection?

Going to the galley is a better plan IMO in either Economy or Business.
Not sure that they do 'food' though. You might get some snacks like crisps.

There are *extensive* threads on this but they are based on flight class.

Asking nicely I'm usually successful in getting seconds on hot mains if I'm hungry - this includes economy.

On longhual flights (e.g. LHR-JFK) everyone gets hot food and drink for free. In economy on daytime flights there'll be a mid-flight ice-cream service. On evening/overnight flights there's a "tuck box" with chocolate and biscuits. If you ask, you'll almost definitely be offered any leftover meals, but only soon after the meal service. There'll be a snack served before landing.
