BA paying me to upgrade to First?
I was in MMB selecting a meal for a forthcoming LHR-DXB flight, when I thought I’d take a chance and see if the new look app interface would offer me an upgrade price CW > F. My ticket had previously been upgraded using Avios from WTP so I didn’t expect any offer; imagine my surprise when I see that BA are apparently willing to pay me 3480 AED to upgrade! Has anyone else seen a negative upgrade cost before? The next page shows a cost breakdown saying the amount will be refunded!

As the long-awaited new CW Suite is rolled out (with the extra privacy afforded by its door), I can see these sort of offers becoming a frequently-used tactic to help fill the F cabin.

Or is the hyphen actually the missing currency symbol?
The Arab Emirates Dirham symbol is د.إ (well I've cut and paste in from Google, so we'll see how it posts here on FT!), so maybe BA.com can't cope with it, or the OP's browser perhaps?
If the upgrade was a UK booking does it show up as -321 GBP or £321 GBP?
