It's off the scale in terms of inverted snobbery, and I suppose the crusts could be efficiently made into croutons. But at First level it's what I would expect, even if I would regard it as silly.

Surely one's butler trims orf the crusts before it is served to one?
I assume on BA the toast is re-heated in the galley. I seem to recall that CX first galleys are equipped with a Dualit toaster - but I can't recall the quality of the toast and am therefore unable to compare and contrast with that served on BA.
The First toast always has the wrong texture! Do you think it's toasted on the ground and reheated in the air ?
The toast in first is pre cut, and pre toasted. In the air it's just rewarmed and might have been in the warming cupboard for a while before it's served, especially if you ask for it just before landing.
Any idea if the bread uses soya flour or othrr flour? (food intolerance-related question and tok impatient to wait until on board to ask to see chef's chat!)
