QF flights in certain fare buckets (believe E, there are some others) earn no points; and it gets you by surprise as there is no way of knowing what bucket you are booking.

And this has a long history (although there are I think fewer anomalies now than there used to be, as I think QF now generally uses E class only for the most bargain bucket of bargain bucket cheapie fares):-
