Same day avios redemption?

Same day avios redemption?
Apologies if this has been posted before, but is it possible to book an avios redemption for the same day? I may need to travel tomorrow and there’s currently plenty of availability but just wondering if this would still be available tomorrow 3 hours prior to departure?

It's should be avavilbe but You cannot be sure for 100%

on other way
you can book now and cancel for free in 24h

Welcome to FT

I have booked several times about ~60mins before departure using RFS. Never an issue, except that you may not have great seating options when you checkin.

The free cancellation doesn't apply if you book same day.

Yes. Did it a few months ago on a Sunday morning to Malaga from city. I guess 90 mins before departure.

I have booked and travelled (AMS-LCY) two hours before the flight a few months back.

Availability on the day can be excellent on short haul (and they even sometimes offer same day redemptions to Sydney, which I used once, though it caused a bit of trouble in terms of ticketing being slower than my travel). I’ve used same day plenty of times to GLA when there had been zero availability days before

Yeh. Can even work on partners.. Was hating Los Angeles so woke up at 2 in morning and booked on 10am flight to Mexico.
