Preventing baggage going to final destination
Just checking on an issue on baggage checkin.
We have a booking to the far east via Singapore using BA hols. First night in BA holiday hotel in SIN to ensure BA holiday benefits (deposit, extra avios etc.), then a further 3 nights in SIN before moving onto Denpasar using Garuda air - all on same BA holiday booking.
BA site says checking in baggage means it goes to final destination, clearly this is barking given we are in SIN for 4 days. Has anyone experienced problems at check in if we say we just want bags to go to SIN ? I would just like some ideas of whether there is likely to be a problem or not before taking it up with BA.
I don't know if it makes any difference but we are traveling in first from LHR to SIN
Thanks in advance

If there's more than 24 hours between flights then it's not a transit but a stop-over. Your "final destination" is Singapore, and then four days later you'll have another flight whose "final destination" will be Denpasar.
You'll get your bags in Singapore whether you want them or not

you bags will only be checked to SIN, it would be impossible to check them to DPS considering the 4 night gap you have between arriving and departing.
