Avis Rental Through BA in Germany

Hi, I'm looking at renting an AVIS Car through the BA website. Already got flights booked, so cannot get a package.

Does anyone know in Germany how much the additional coverage is. I've got a quote of 200 for 5 days for a medium/large car. It says basic insurance included, but nowhere in small print explains how much the more extensive coverage is.

Any ideas?
Thanks a lot

CDW in Germany ranges from Eur27 (grp A) to Eur37 (grp K) per day. Note that this only reduces your excess to in the region of Eur850/1050 which is not waivable iirc.

What is the excess without CDW?

May be better value to get third party insurance instead.

But it sounds like basic insurance (CDW + Theft Protection + third party liability) has been included in the quote. This I think is usual across Europe.

The excess of around 1000 euros will be almost certainly be waivable at the counter for around 25 euros per day.
