IAG 2018 Full Year Results [18 Boeing 777-9 ordered, plus 24 options]

IAG's 2018 Full Year Results are due tomorrow (28th February) so thought I would create a thread now as a reminder, given these are bound to be discussed/pored over (not least by myself!) for hints of BA's future direction and any references to New Club World etc.

Dividend Declaration

A post market close announcement has made today on dividend policy. An increase in IAG’s regular
annual dividend and also a EUR700m special dividend announced.

Thats over EUR1.3bn for the year.

Big numbers - No doubt will be well received by the market tomorrow.

With their ‘get lost’ policy regarding customer complaints and EC261 and continuing absence of cheese and biscuits, champagne and pastries, densification and Economy hell, you’d’ve thought they’d be dishing more out to shareholders.

I'm reliably informed there will be plenty of cheese and biscuits, champagne and pastries at the results presentation tomorrow. And 34in of legroom in the stalls.

But only for the first 12 rows. In the rear it will be 28 inches!

Unless, of course, the market has already factored in a stellar result, in which case the share price could go down as short term investors sell!

Bloomberg reporting overnight that an aircraft order is set to be announced. 777X & possibly more -300s to replace 744s.

Bad news indeed. Similar capacity to the A350-1000 which would be my preference.

Why bad news, no one has flown on a 777-9 yet?
