As I'd upgraded, I had to phone BA to find out the fare bucket, it was M, interesting that the lovely lady on the GGL line didn't know about these fares, she is from Rio and was jealous, BA doing well in the internal comms then.[/QUOTE]

Upgraded to WT+, how much did it work out at? You clearly though the extra avios and taxes were worth it

Lots of Avios to be earned on the Rio route, 17,304 which is nice if you value them at 1p/avios.

13. All promotional flights are non-refundable. Flights booked in World Traveller and World Traveller Plus are changeable for a £150 fee (plus any additional fare for changes). For Club Europe, Club World and First, no changes are permitted. For all cabins, changes are not allowed on the day of departure. The date of departure is determined by the local date and time of the departing country.

I used an upgrade voucher, as have a load which will expire soon and otherwise they would likely drop off.

With forgiveness being easier and all that, I lucked out and got 5 nights in Rio from 27th Sept. Miss Nibblypig none the wiser, for now... 🙄 ~16k Avios and 70TP will do me fine. Until upgrade offers sucker me in that is!

Well, tomorrow at midday I shall be sat somewhere in the FLounge so might give it one last go - EZE would be absolutely fabulous, but I'll take an East Coast USA destination at a pinch for a long weekend...

As a data point, the PIT flight I booked today is in M both ways. Has anyone actually booked and got O?

Ours definitely booked into M (LHR-AUH-LHR).
Manage my booking offers to upgrade us with either cash or avois- there are WT+ seats available in both directions which we’d happily take, particularly for the return.

Has as anyone has any luck upgrading online? After payment authorisation it comes back saying can’t change online and to contact BA...

In case it makes a difference, I’ve got my QF frequent flyer number applied and my partner’s got their BAEC number, would that impact it somehow?
