Number of BA metal flights flown per year per passenger?
Hi all,
As a historically Blue tier level flyer with BA, along with occasional flirts into Bronze tier, I have recently been curious to know the raw number of BA metal flights typically taken by Executive Club passengers at the different tier levels in a given year (irrespective of cabin flown, and including reward flights).
In that regard, considering my low tier, I typically take around 20-25 BA metal flights per year. Admittedly a proportion of these flights are reward flights which do not achieve tier points, and so do not help progress me through the tiers.
I wonder therefore how this number compares with other Blue members, or other members at the higher tiers? It isn’t a competition; I just realise that tier points, and thus tier level, are not directly related to the raw quantity of BA metal flights flown per year. 😀

I'm a weenie Gold. This year will come out at sectors/miles ...
BA 16/25.7k
AA 4/10.7k
BE 4/748!
All cunningly planned, of course, except the BE stuff which was paid-for 'hospital transport'.

Do FTers keep a log book or just have very good memories? It would take me a while to work this out, and I fly a lot less than many on here. I'd say around 32-36 sectors on BA plus 2 on QR, 4 QF, 4 AY, 1 IB, 2 CX, 2 SK, 2 OS, 2 TG, 4 TAM, 1 Azul...from the top of my head plus maybe a couple more.

In calendar year 2017, out of 36 sectors and 91,227 miles, BA metal flights (including CJ and MN) totalled 29 sectors and 74,875 miles.
The bulk of the rest was accounted for by two QF sectors which totalled 13,725 miles.
So far in calendar year 2018, out of 25 sectors and 62,363 miles, BA metal flights have totalled 19 sectors and 57,490 miles.
