Service recovery Avios
I made a complaint a few days ago about a broken power socket in Club World during a recent flight from Incheon to London and yesterday I noticed [Big number] avios deposited in my account.
I've never known BA to be so generous! Is this normal?

Crikey that is mega generous. Two years ago there was a dodgy power socket in F and I got 50k or £450 eVoucher. Took the voucher.
A few reports here :
What's the most Avios you got from BA as compensation and for what?

If this was money in your bank account. and you spent it knowing or suspecting you were not entitled to it, you would be required to repay the money and committing a crime under the Theft Act 1968. In fact the burden is the other way round, you have to prove you had a reasonable expectation that you were entitled to it (and that seldom holds up in court). So probably best not to make an extravagant F booking as I suspect the same may apply to points (does anyone know for sure?).
To be fair, if I notice someone has given me too much change in a shop I tell them rather than pocket the cash. I know there are some who think I'm a sucker because of this.

Hmm. I experienced a broken (actually missing) armrest in CE back from Zurich to LCY a couple of months ago, made a complaint supported by a photo, and received nothing more than an apology...

I replied back to the email which was sent to me notifying of the avios and asked if this was a mistake.
It wasn't just for the broken power socket but faulty seat recline as well.
Wait and see if they disappear lol
