Bless you Sugarball! You didn’t tell us that you had taken manly determined action, nor did I know that that you hailed from the North. Your handle implies that you come from Oxfordshire. This is irrelevant but fascinating.

I love the Beef as well. I know however that they carry about three of them . Since HI is unable to eat Pasta (since a child it makes him vomit, as I with oysters). MAD is an anomaly with a Long Haul aircraft operating a short hop. I’m not excusing the service but it is complicated adapting one to the other and get everything out in time. Did they do a drink service first or did that go the way of all things? SOF service was wrong. They should start for the front and work down. Their Chef’s manual tells them that.

My "faith" in BA short haul English Breakfast is (at least partially) restored. :p
I decided to try again the hot breakfast from BRU, early morning flight, and this time it was fine. Not the best I had on board, but adequate anyway.

I also had the chance to try the curry chicken with rice pictured some posts ago. Not bad, the chicken was soft enough, but the sauce was a bit too "heavy" for my taste.

I know where he’s from 😉

And on the return run yesterday

Had the antipasti from post #1516 and the Shepherd's Pie above, both very good. Made all the better by an excellent crew with an outstanding CSM.

If this is meant to be the 'Nicoise' described in the menu above, regardless of how good or bad this was, I hope some heads will roll for blasphemy...

Chicken? Lettuce?? Beans????? Lemon??????? Mayonnaise???????????? This hurts! :p :D

I've asked for brown sauce in the past and have got it. I'd have to think that they would also have ketchup.

Pretty standard breakfast, although the scrambled egg was rather pale and insipid.
Has BA ever provided tomato kekchup - something was needed here to spice it up?

Yes, I could see this was going to cause a problem, and I guide other FTers to a truly Merleau-Ponty style exposition in this previous post:

Personally I've never allowed culinary pedantry to get in the way of a good bite, but secretly that may also be true of orbitmic!

Cold roast beef with hummus. Quite enjoyed it. I like that the pudding is a white base inside of all milk /dark

chocolate now as well.

Absolutely - but equally, I've never let a good bite get in the way of culinary pedantry - there is no better/more fun reason to get over-excited and scientifically argumentative than food, right?! :D

PS: and I note that my efforts to avoid excessive pedantry by magnanimously not even mentioning the shocking choice of Kalamata (not to mention pitted) olives was wasted! ;)

I'm yet to encounter any flight loaded with condiments in CE above what is already mentioned on the menu so have always procured my own before boarding. It's definitely a request item in CW along with HP, French and English mustard.
