I could be wrong but thought Do&Co we’re taking over all of the catering by a certain year (2021-23?) or does Do&Co not operate at all at LGW for any customer?

I don’t think Do&Co provide the catering at Gatwick.

I believe Alpha LSG is the current caterer and they will be replaced by Newrest next year.

Well you can definitely 'taste' the difference (to coin a phrase), even though the products look similar. Breakfast outbound was fine - in fact very good.

Does anyone know any information of the CE catering on BA 676 to IST which would depart at 10:25 on my specific travel date. I know that, as the same exact flight departs at 09:30ish in the winter season, breakfast is served. However, I'm not sure if I would get a Band 4 Breakfast or a Band 4 Lunch for a 10:25 departure.

According to post 1 of this thread, you will get a "rest of day" meal (i.e. lunch rather than breakfast) for any Band 4 departing after 10am.

Band 1 brunch

I think the other options were quiche and another thing which I now can't remember.

Do&Co will be taking over LHR flights by 2020 (currently already do club europe food) they do not cater any flights of BA out of LGW, as a previous poster said as of April 2020 Newrest will take over all flights previously catered by alphalsg out of gatwick.

What's the white component? Looks like cottage cheese, but not watery enough. I would normally expect cream cheese with salmon, but this looks a little lumpy. Nice presentation and ok for a brunch I guess, but a bit light for my tastes (or stomach!).

Yes it was cottage cheese. I agree it seems a little lighter than the usual checken or beef salad, but as you say maybe that is the intention with brunch.

Yes, the other option on some brunch flights is the bresaola, I've not seen the beef or chicken option service during brunch flights.

Does cottage cheese and salmon work? I love cottage cheese and I love salmon, but can't quite get it to work in my foodie head. My current alternative to cream cheese with salmon is apple cider pickled beetroot - contrast works nicely.

This was the quiche in my recent flight. It is tomato and cheese although what was not said was sun dried tomatoes which I really dislike! The pudding was a bit odd too!

Band 3 LEI - LGW (Weds 17 Apr). Three choices of main, 12 pax in Club. Choice of main ran out at row 2 (!). Just pasta left for the remaining 4-5 pax. I was quite surprised as surely the caterers know the chicken dinner will be the most popular. There was a third choice of a cold chicken salad, but I heard the CSM tell a passenger only one had been loaded. Noone likes waste but I thought it was all a bit piss poor tbh.

Gluten Free Heathrow - Budapest, Gluten Free Option - was quite tasty... minus the rock hard roll!

I was 1F on WAW-LHR a couple weeks ago. FA served 1A, then asked for my selection. I ordered the chicken salad. 1D then asked for the same and FA said I got the last one. Lol. Wow.

Butter chicken curry, at the risk of stating the obvious...

Both these meals were pretty good (morels were a bit thin on the ground in the roast chicken dish, but still tasty enough). Further confirmation to me that LHR/LGW CE catering is much improved unless you’re on a long band 2 route, which still sucks for choice, especially on evening flights when it might be your only chance to eat. Still, credit where it’s due on the rest.
