As their range is a little over 2,000 NM they must take quite a long route around the Atlantic to get to Europe.
YQX-KEF (Gander to Keflavik) is only 1578nm and other airports across the northern Atlantic are also within 2000nm so only slightly interesting routing is required. You don’t need to use Greenland airports as you do for light aircraft. Extra fuel tanks for ferry flights are also an option, though probably unnecessary for this.

Estonian Air was about to start TLL-LCY flights with a slightly reduced number of passengers. So Helsinki would be doable if business class sold well.

LCY has never been 4/2. It is minimum 2/2. Thus, the lack of J seats seems erroneous.

for ferry flights when the plane is empty, the range is quite a bit more.

JetBlue flew an E190 almost 2,700 nm in 2008 after finishing work as a McCain/Palin charter.

That's a shame. Just booked a single journey to Glasgow and it was the same as If I was adding a return. If that makes sense.

CE to Glasgow was £114 whether as a one way or booked as first sector of a return ticket.

Over the years LH have also run DUS and TXL and dropped both but they seem to be working out for BA.
