Misleading information provided in BA webpage
Hi FT-ers,
Recently, I flew with QR in fare class N and S, and I expected to earn 100% avios based on the earning chart stated in BA website. However, I only received a credit of Avios at 50%. I tried to e-mail BA, they firstly reply that they posted it right, and subsequently I reply with the following screencapture, they ignore my e-mail.
Any FT-ers has idea whether I can complain to any officials that BA is providing misleading information in their website that cause its customer / members has economic loss?

According to the calculator at https://www.britishairways.com/trave...r/public/en_gb , 50% is correct
For Doha to London on QR
What is the link to the page on the BA website where it states otherwise?

Looks like a typo as the Avios calculator spits out the correct number (50%) https://www.britishairways.com/trave...r/public/en_gb

For a route of DOH-LHR, which is 3,261 miles according to the Great Circle Method, the BA webpage shows earnings of 1627 Avios.
You appear to have been correctly credited (although I can’t see your screenshot).

The OP seems to be asking if there is some official body to complain to about misleading advertising rather than whether the number of Avios is correct.
You could try the ASA https://www.asa.org.uk/ but it looks like very hard work for what is quite a detailed technical issue.

I don't think that it would class as an advert though

OP is right, earnings are incorrectly shown on here for Qatar Airways:
https://www.britishairways.com/en-gb..._ecavsflights2
Avios calculator shows correct earnings though.
Looks like yet another copy&paste error...

It would be interesting to know when the website was updated, and when the OP booked.
It is still possible to see the previous version of the pop-up webpage, although as ever with these you have to ignore the absence of formatting: https://www.britishairways.com/en-gb...ing-avios.html I have included a screenshot at the end, in case the old pop-up page is taken down soon.
If the OP booked when the old webpage was still up, then they haven't suffered any loss - even if the new webpage is wrong, they have been correctly credited that which they were promised. But if they booked after the new webpage went up, then it seems that they may well have been misled and therefore have a valid complaint.
