Receiving my bronze baec welcome pack has given me the hunger to reach silver

After 4 years if being blue I recently reached the dizzy heights of bronze and today after waiting 6 weeks got my bronze welcome pack
this had given me more incentive to go for silver
i am currently sitting on 350 to a which ends Jan 2019 , I have flights booked in October's which will yield 55 tps
so I looking to get another 195/250 pts
i am finding it difficult putting together a meaningful value tier run so I am asking for help in putting a tp run to get over the line to silver
i have 6 days off work later this month from Friday 20th July and need to be back on Wednesday 25th July
my home airport is Edinburgh but willing to fly somewhere to start tp run and am fine travelling to Europe or USA during the run
can anyone help me put together a tp run ,? And explain how to book it please

thanks in advance

EDI-LGW-MLA seems credible, in CE of course, and perhaps abating t(e ticket with Avios.

Or am I stupid?

I assume that you will have enough travel to make silver worthwhile, rather than just upgrading all your bookings to club for 2019-20?

EDI-PMI or EDI-HEL would both be good ways to earn 160 TPs without connecting through London, as long as you book in Club and don't overpay.

Normally get LUX in CE for under 200 which will get you 80tps, back to back and home for dinner

This is, of course, where the thirst for Status gets (IMO) a bit strange.

Is Silver needed by the OP for future travels? Or has the Bronze created that lust that kept sending us to Hawaii (and other places)? It’s time for reflection, I suggest.

How much difference will Silver make to your life, OP, and how much cash is that really worth (practically and emotionally)?

That I understand, as long as your travel patterns justify it in your mind. That reality check was all I was trying to apply!

Believe me, we were very happy Silvers for some years until Hawaii and the Gold addiction took over. But then were OAP Leisure Pax, with disposable income, and a passion for WARM places!! We have all the time in the World (relatively!) to keep on trucking l/h in CW.

Just hoping your ambitions are well directed, no more than that!

Have a read of this. May help with what you are looking for in a concise way.

London 160 TP destinations

https://www.headforpoints.com/2017/0...points-routes/

And some regional routes.

https://www.headforpoints.com/2018/0...0-tier-points/

There may have been the odd route change since the articles but should give you the gist.

Prices are always very high for July and it's of course the school/tourist holidays as well.

On ba.com I can see from a very raw search DUB-LHR-HEL for 590 Euros (522) on Friday 20th returning Sunday 22nd so a 2 night stay. Of course you'd have to see if there are positioning flights etc

If there is any scope for you to do a mini TP later there are far more options and at much better prices too.

I don't read it that much but also see if there is anything in the TP Run thread. I'm no expert on such things so I'll leave that to the TP run wise ones.

@PETER01, I agree with this. I only did a quick look myself at the usual suspects (trying to watch the football!!) and it all looks pretty expensive for a TP run at this notice in this season.
