Using Avios to upgrade a Business class sector on AA to First

Using Avios to upgrade a Business class sector on AA to First
Wanted to check if it is ever possible to upgrade an AA sector using Avois. I am on AA105 LHR/JFK in J and looking at Expertflyer the F cabn is empty. Is it worth using Avios to get F or should I stick in J . Currently have 3J on a 77W. No Appreciable AAdvantage miles to use. Expertflyer shows A7 for upgrade . Is this only using AAdvantage miles?

Don't know if it can be done with Avios but I've found J on the 77W so good I personally think it's a bit of a waste to do it with either for the actual onboard experience.

You can only UuA if you are booked on a BA issued ticket, so one starting 125-.... If you are on any other carrier's ticket you can't UuA.
If on a BA ticket (and not a TA booking) you can UuA from J on AA to F, but it can only be done from certain selling classes.

4. Upgrading using Avios points on AA and IB Flights are permitted on eligible published fares only (Fare classes are: J, C, D, W, Y, B – B class not available for upgrade on AA).
