BA Club World LHR-MCT Vlog Style Trip Report

Just had a fantastic trip to Muscat in Club World.

When I booked the plane was a 787-8 but on the day it was a 787-9. On the out bound they didn’t open up any Flub Seats. On the way back there were some lucky people in Flub.

On the whole an impeccable trip with a great crew and great food.

I made a Vlog Style Trip Report of the flight and if you fancy giving it a look - here’s the link.

Which camera did you use to film that Roger?

I guess with a 24mm eq rectilinear lens, so too wide for a phonecam. Probably a Sony RX100, Panasonic LX100 or a Canon Powershot G1/3/5/7X. Or with a DSLR.

The main camera is a Panasonic LUMIX G80 - some of the shots were taken with a GoPro Hero Session 5.

And the haze in MCT, like the haze in DXB.

This is a kind of DSLR with exchangable lenses.

I have the GoPro Hero 5 (the larger non-session) and onboard I can paste it on the window with a suction cup. Nice camera, but not at night (too small sensor).

The lens I used is a 7-14 Wide (DSLR equivalent 14-28). I also have a 14-140 Zoom which I used for the Hotel TR Vlog which I’ll post in the hotel trip reports section at some stage.

Fantastic vlog! Any thoughts on branching out into the airline safety video business?

How was your journey home?

Thanks Prospero! Having had a run of BA flights recently I’d gladly have a go at doing a new one as the Comic Relief one is becoming a little tedious. Although the Gordon Ramsay “Muppet” comment still makes me laugh.

Return journey was good - a 8am departure from MCT so started with breakfast. No hope of getting any sleep - so watched 3 films and drank coffee (had to drive home from EDI).
