The BA2774 JER-LGW has been cancelled so a warning for other FTers if flying from Jersey tomorrow, they offered me a later flight same day. I tried to rebook on one of the 2 earlier services online and by phone as usual BA meltdown and neither options worked so took the later flight. Why offer options if they are not bookable.

I can see there are three LGW cancellations for Sunday, plus their return flights.

BA2754 GNB 06:30
BA2772 JER 13:35
BA2624 NCE 17:00

Just pushing back on the earlier of the two SEA-LHR flights and hoping we don’t land in mayhem on Sunday morning. #PrayForNoSnow

Probably would have made the bus in the end but decided it was a bit too tight to be certain. With a bag and a connection, I decided not to brave Milan's public transport and ended up driving myself from LIN-MXP in a very nasty Opel Mokka for €53, booked on the Hertz app from LHR this morning.

Thank you very much for your help though.

There’s about an inch o two on cars / rooftops in East London but roads and pavements clear. Unless they do some juggling with LGW 777 airframes one flight going to be approx 2-3 hrs late due to the late inbound from San José Costa Rica

I was booked on BA2772. currently overnighting at Gatwick being offered 19th March flight so will go to airport to see if can avoid another overnight. My question is why cancel 1 of 4 Jersey flights. This is surely operational and not weather thus I will get compensation on top of food and accommodation?

Here in MUC captain just announced a 1 hr 20 min gate hold due to weather here in MUC and at LHR. MUC weather calmed down a bit so attention turning to LHR weather.

No sign of tea ladies pushing a giant urn of tea to calm the fraying nerves of the majority who are are apparently missing connections, just the heart warming salve that flight connections are aware.

It is showing as a weather cancellation so no compensation due.

Flow rate today @ LHR

0400-1400 34/hour
1400-1800 36/hour
1800-night curfew 38/hour

33 round trips cancelled at LHR for BA, more I suspect if you include other carriers. I don't think there's going to be snow, at least not from what I heard, but wind & visibility are triggering the restriction. As always, that 3rd runway could come handy today (unless they fill it up, in which case it'd be as useful as a chocolate teapot!)

Currently traveling to LHR from central London on the Piccadilly Line. From what I can see, not more than 1-2cm of snow has fallen, and it seems to be completely clear from even minor roads. Unless there are accidents, I can’t imagine the motorways are badly affected.

According to Google Maps, M25 near Heathrow is fine; southbound M3 looks busy much of its length; northbound busy near Basingstoke. No accidents or blockages showing for me though.

So today our 1230 flight from MAN to LHR was cancelled and wevwere put on the 1925.

Wanting an earlier option i called and was moved to the 1330 LCY service.

Will BA cover our travel cost from LCY to LHR or is it my own fault for accepting a different airport

my car is in pod parking there

When I came up from Basingstoke just now the 3/25 were fine. Averaging 50 all the way up took 45 instead of the usual 35 minutes from home

Is that gate hold you are experiencing after boarding? Or in the gate area pre-boarding?

Edited to add: Just read your slightly later post too! Good to hear the delay was only 5 minutes.
