Thumbs up BA2037 LGW to MCO [seating query]

We're flying with BA to Orlando from LGW to MCO on Thursday 30th August 2018.

Our flight number is BA2037

We usually reserve our seats in advance (which we have again); however, despite BA stating that it's a Boeing 777, the seating configuration is different than normal (and isn't a densified seating plan). It looks more like a 787-9 Dreamliner with 44 rows instead of the usual 40 on the 777-200

Anyone else notice this and care to comment?

CoachKT, welcome to FT.

As this is a BA issue, we'll move it to the dedicated forum.

Hello CoachKT and welcome to FlyerTalk.

That seating plan is definitely a bit odd. ExpertFlyer also lists it as a 777 but shows rows 1-4 and business, 10-14 as premium economy and rows 20-44 as economy which doesn't match any aircraft I know of (including the 789). I suspect it will sort itself out at some point closer to your departure date.

Here is what ExpertFlyer is showing at the moment in all three classes:

Isn't that the new densified 777?

No, not least because it's only showing 9-abreast in economy.

The CW cabin matches CW on the densified aircraft, though, and this wouldn't be the first time something odd has shown up for a LGW 777 flight.

I suspect it probably is going to be a densified aircraft but the seating plan for Y is just wrong.

I was thinking the same thing and certainly matches it with only rows 1-4 in CW and 10-14 in PE.

Fair point about the 3-3-3 in Y - hadn't noticed - was focusing on the small CW and random shaped WTP cabins.
