Car transfer for Prems?

Landing back at T5 late last Weds from GVA, we had the usual bus to meet us. In fairness to BA, there was a CE bus but the chap next to me in 1F was spoken to by the purser and told “Mr X your car is here”. Sure enough a black BA jag whisked him off. It wasn’t a transfer because I then saw him again waiting for his driver at the arrivals meeting point. Is this standard procedure for a Prem? They don’t need to mix with the great unwashed on the bus?

But not being a transfer, and not being a domestic flight, I suspect they had paid for he Heathrow VIP arrival service

Heathrow VIP - Home

No, these transfers are provided by Special Services. It is a different service to the ‘premium transfer’.

It could have been Heathrow VIP, but the OP said it was a BA car so likely a Special Services escort/ride.

True the OP said a black BA Jag was waiting. Do the BA cars say BA on them, I don't remember, I thought they were just black luxury cars, the same as the VIP black service

This one had the BA logo on it. I saw it with my own eyes.

Then that was definitely Special Services. When I’ve been met with a car, the cars have either had a small BA logo or no obvious company markings at all.

The logo was small, yes, on the rear passenger door I think but I can’t remember. Barely visible in the dark but I did notice it. Obligatory flashing orange light on the top too, as all dedicated airside vehicles have.
