Does this incur the change fee ?

Waiting for the return to open up to add to a 241 and think J unlikely to appear (unless I can grab the 2 at 1.00 a.m., but am unlikely to be the fastest to the hotline) . If I book say PE just to have something to keep a holiday plan a possibility, and then J or F becomes available on same date same flight, does a change of class incur the change fee ?
Apologies if answered elsewhere.

Just to say as we are on GMT (UTC) now that will be midnight not 1 am which may be slightly less painful.

Yes, it does.

I have been the fastest on the only two occasions in which I've called at T-355. I don't think it's that unlikely?

Also, there is no guarantee that any WT+ seats would be released. Do I stand correct?

Absolutely - thousands of J seats every night - no guarantee release of WT+

Do you want to try to beat the OP and snatch the seats before him?

On your original question, should you be unlucky enough to have to resort to this, the answer is yes.

The secret is to call a minute or two before midnight as the time it rings, explain what you want and the agent says "Let me just check that for you" it will be bang on midnight with any new availability showing and the agent can then book them for you

Won't tell you until after I've got them, there's enough competition for J awards as it is and I'll only get beaten to the midnight call ! (Actually I'll PM you).

Like I've been beaten to my suspicion of your motive.

When I did it, both times the operator was willing to wait on the line until the seats were released.
