It's been at T3 for some time now. What makes you think it might move to T5?

Probably around the time the third runway and T5D and T5E are built... I'm in the same boat with PHX, but at least we have the CX lounge in T3.

The terminal splits are fairly settled at the moment. It's always possible there could be a rejig of some sort in future, but extremely unlikely to see any moves before next winter at the earliest.

Despite the bus hassle. The CX F lounge in T3 makes up for it all.

I may be misremembering but I'm sure at least one Miami flight has operated out of a non-BA terminal for many years - either 2 or 3 before any other BA flights moved there ? Because they wanted to be able to keep an eye on Virgin seems to ring a bell!

Yes, MIA always used to be at T3 prior to T5 with the rest of BA flights from T1 and T4.

I wonder why MIA was the chosen destination to operate from T3 before T5 and even now?

Not a business (premium) heavy route?

Personally, bus transfer aside, I like T3... and CX lounge of course

MIA-LHR is one of the most, if not the most, profitable markets on the OW JV.

MIA is, and always has been, a very O&D heavy route.

I thought the terminals at Heathrow were partly chosen due to the volumes of connecting passengers.

I quite enjoy T3 , makes for a chance of environment and lounge options ! CPT ( my flight home) is operated out of T3 , not that I fly BA long haul anymore !

Its a faff when connecting and I dread it, particularly returning home. No lounge makes up for that im afraid. Was great when it was T5

In Y or J?
I like that route, and I would like more better plane assigned to it (Hi-J
747) instead of the oldest interior 747s, doubled in summer.

Hi,

To be fair ( at least in Nov 17) the afternoon flight to MIA is scheduled to be a A380.

Regards

TBS

Yes, indeed at least in winter there is one A380 per day, but summer schedule is covered by old 747 only...
