Do award bookings open up closer to departure?

I'm trying to score a LHR-CDG flight on 7/31 but the flight time i want isn't popping up. will more open up later or should i just deal with the flights available now. I figure worst case i can pay full price and hop on a eurostar if its worth rolling the dice

thanks in advance!

Hi

Yes, award flight availability does open up - even until the day of departure - I would hold off.

Best

Note you can cancel up til t-24h and only lose the RFS fee which seems like a good form of insurance in an instance like this

What is your preferred time? Have you checked Club Europe? Is Orly an option? Having a quick look then CE is open on nearly all flights.

The afternoon flights aren't absolutely full, so there is a chance they'd open up last min I'd say and I've had success with this before - check after 1am UK time each day

Nice one! Paris is a good use of Avios last min - it does tend to open up and last min cash prices flying or Eurostar can be quite hefty Enjoy ^
