Only 1 seat selection available (F)

2 people flying tomorrow BA0177 (award tickets) and MMB has removed the seats I selected when we booked (last year sometime) and is only showing 1 seat available.

Any ideas? I'm worried as this is the better half & her sister (first F) on a major milestone birthday trip, they're only there for 3 days so any changes would have huge impacts!

I'm planning to go for OLCI as soon as it opens but would appreciate any input!

Hmm not sure what to make of this? Perhaps someone can check the loads for you. I certainly wouldn't expect or accept a downgrade; there are so many services daily I am sure in the very unlikely case of this happening there are alternatives

Also, don't think they are selling any Further or A tickets for they are zero.

For your flight between LHR-JFK I see three seats being blocked -- 1K, 4E and 4F. Suppose you and your companion will end up seating at 4E and 4F?

It's an interesting one @alvintc. It would be really useful if you would report back what actually transpires tomorrow. Hopefully there's space for them both and it doesn't end up more complicated. Did you have them sitting together in a centre pair? Look forward to hearing the outcome...

Update: Checking MMB now shows 1 A/K assigned

We had planned E/F so they could chat - I suspect people will be willing to swap...

If it was me - I'd stay put, but it's the Mrs & her sister so the pairs are much better suited!

Do they know how close the seats are to each other and that they are considered to be two of the best seats for couples?

I thought on the 777 a/k are quite separate?

I don't think they're worried about windows, just nattering really (I'm trying very hard to not mention nattering wives....)

My apologies I thought I was a B744, I have to say if as a couple they have been allocated separate seats that the middle ones must have been already taken.

Annoyingly when I originally set the seats it was for a couple.

OLCI is now open, showing a full cabin but 1 a/k is assigned. Hopefully someone will swap with them at the airport/ on board.

Either way it should be a comfortable flight!

Many thanks to all who offered help on this, it's genuinely appreciated.
