Got my ETicket for the positioning flights.

When BA used to use viewdata (BA Link) it was an open secret that they used it to dump capacity, albeit it still happened via bucket shops / consolidaters.

I'm hoping Momondo is the same thing... because going direct to GetAFlight presented a much higher fare.

Remember there is an excursion period between mid June and 31 August. Weekend stay requirement as well as 7 days in advance!

Was the booking ever ticketed?

sorry for the questions - the online reviews of 'those sort of OTA's' suggest they issue a PNR but then call either straight away or a day or two later and explain that fare is gone....

just trying to figure out if these fares are bookable and who to use.
Booking has been cancelled.

that is annoying and not good - though not entirely surprising given I don't see how one OTA alone can have a significantly cheaper price than pretty much everyone else.....

This is one of my bugbears about OTA's in general and usually the reason I just book with the airline its never as cheap but usually less hassle especially for changes

I'm looking to book an Amex 2-4-1 to HKG. I tried INV and LHR and the taxes were the same for both. Is this an online error or have I picked up incorrectly that I can save apd when departing INV?

You shouldn't be paying any APD if departing from INV when compared to LHR - saving around £150 per person. You don't need to return to INV at the end.

Could you copy and past here the taxes/fees/charges breakdown for both options?

What KARFA said, definitely an error. I look at these all the time and the difference is always about £150 pp.

Are you sure you have a connection under 24hrs in LHR?

Doesn't work for Hawaii - almost a 1000 more expensive than Dublin and that is still to pricey
Some people used to book Dublin to Hawaii in business for 1600 but now it's 2500 - is there a BA sale coming up at some point?
