POUGs are offered via BA.com and the App Manage My Booking via a distinctive banner (example from MMB below). You cannot get a POUG by telephoning, however the service centres can complete a POUG which falls over mid transaction. They are offered on cash and Avios redemptions but typically not on complex routings, BA Holidays or travel agency bookings until OLCI stage. POUGs on Avios redemptions won't get you additional TPs/Avios, but they will on revenue tickets.
Short haul routes from LON to/from Europe
A price in pounds indicates a ticket issued from London, other currencies indicate prices for tickets issued overseas (e.g. singles or returns originating from CDG priced in Euros). Multiple prices indicate a range of fares are on offer. Note that LCY prices currently seem to be on a different basis to LGW and LHR (cheaper, in other words).

I'd be extremely surprised if it will go down to £209. I also don't mind WT+ on day flights although personally and especially on a nearly ten hour flight I would have taken it but at the end of the day if your happy then that's all that matters really and £300 is put to good use at the destination.

SFO->LHR in February: WT+ to CW offered at US$631, and then $580 for the return to SFO. Took the outbound, as it seems a reasonable price (and the lowest I've seen on this route)
NOTE: Often, I've found that these POUG's come with more flexibility than the original fare. My former WT+ ticket did not allow refunds for example, but after buying this upgrade, the "revised" terms allow full refunds, less $200 per direction, so definitely a plus..

I was offered £352 for WT+ to CW LHR-BOS today (while checking in, the flight is tomorrow). I didn't take it, as it is a daytime flight and £7/TP is a lot.
I think the offer a few weeks ago for the same booking was about £450 but I can't remember exactly.
