Pro-active Online Upgrade (POUG) tracking and discussion | 2017/18 thread

This thread is a continuation of the previous years' threads: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/briti...16-thread.html Pro-active Online Upgrade (POUG) tracking and discussion | 2015 thread which was a continuation from: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/briti...ns-thread.html. What is a Pro-active Online Upgrade? The simple answer: it is a limited special upgrade that may be offered at a time of BA's choosing after your booking is ticketed up to and including online check-in. The offer, if it happens (and this is not guaranteed) will appear in Manage My Booking, either via BA.com or the mobile app. There is no email notification, klaxon sound or flashing beacons to alert you - so now you know why its called a Pro-active Online Upgrade :) Please note, POUG rates differ from the rates offered at the airport (see, http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/briti...ng-thread.html) and also the rate offered when you click on the “Upgrade my class of travel with money” link from within MMB, or the “Upgrade to the next available cabin” blue/grey banner in the app. In summary
A Wikipost has been set up to allow us to collectively track POUG rates on a route by route basis (this may not be visible if you are looking at this forum via a mobile device but is visible via FT's full site version). Please add your own successful results to the list including the month/year when the POUG was offered to you. For reference, the terms and conditions of POUGs are here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/25075396-post582.html |
For the record, this was the previous year's wiki, to 31 December 2016.
Short haul routes from LON to/from Europe A price in pounds indicates a ticket issued from London, other currencies indicate prices for tickets issued overseas (e.g. singles or returns originating from CDG priced in Euros). Multiple prices indicate a range of fares are on offer. Note that LCY prices currently seem to be on a different basis to LGW and LHR (cheaper, in other words).
Long haul routes from LON to North America (price shown from lower cabin to mentioned cabin, e.g. WTP means price to POUG from WT to WTP):
Long haul routes from LON to South America and the Caribbean (price shown from lower cabin to mentioned cabin, e.g. WTP means price to POUG from WT to WTP):

Long haul routes from LON to Australia and Oceania (price shown from lower cabin to mentioned cabin, e.g. WTP means price to POUG from WT to WTP):

Hi everyone, and Happy New Year to you all!. I am not sure how to update the list, but thought I would chip in with something - my partner was offered a POUG from LHR to WAW yesterday for a flight today. The offer was £115 from ET to CE. He doesn't need the TPs and it is too early to start collecting again so declined. Would someone be so kind as to update with this info?

LHR-DXB, 1/6/17 WT-WTP £127 (was £119 yesterday, but snapped it up at £127 today)
DXB-LHR 6/6/17 WTP-CW £400 |
