SH seat selection fees gone up?

Morning all. Apologies if this has already been posted. Just perusing the seat map for upcoming domestic flights and the cost of the exit row seats has gone up from £11 to £20.

Is this another example of dynamic pricing?

Sounds like it is Dynamic Seat Pricing.

The Mods and Ambassadors are preparing a thread on this, it's a complex area. Did you make a note of all the prices then? And now? We need to accumulate data and few of those on this mini working party need to fret about seat charges!

This was for BA1389 MAN-LHR on 21 Dec

At the beginning of the week exit row was £11 (and has been since they became available for paid selection). Today they are £20.

The same applies to my return flight on 7 Jan.

If you need more info let me know.

Award Booking in CE-LHR to DUS:
Standard Seat £20 Exit Row £33.

I dont recall a seat charge like this on my last CE trip, have I missed a new enhancement?

Why would anybody pay £20 for a LHR-MAN flight?

BA is just getting ridiculous. People used to joke about Ryanair charging to use the toilets but the way things are going it's inevitable BA will do it.

Dynamic pricing of course depending on the queue.

Then some bright spark will think of putting laxatives in the tea to increase toilets revenues.

Can anyone explain this, I have a long haul A380 flight soon in WT, cabin wide open so as a Bronze I'll wait till T-7 days to grab a seat but.......

Upper deck twin seats not counting the exit rows, every seat is £58 apart from 82 J K and 83 J K which are £29.

Any clues to why them 2 pairs are half the price. I mean 82 A B £58 & 82 J K £29 is puzzling.

I have 2 LON-GLA HBO bookings coming up end of Jan - costs £7 to reserve a seat in row 1 from LHR, and £12 to reserve a seat in row 1 from LGW... doesn't make sense to me!

And what was the HBO fare in both cases?

It's generally £5 at the time of booking for LHR, £10 for LGW, then it goes up thereafter.
