G-VIIB has arrived at CWL, anyone able to shed light on whether this is for the refit or just for storage?
EDIT: I see someone's just beaten me to it on updating the wiki!

Gotta be quick around here! IM has just returned to LHR and IB is next on the list.
I've added a note to YMMI as that's also at CWL but is a bit early. It may be there for storage for a couple of weeks until IN comes out or it may be having other work done. There's only space for two refits at a time and there are other aircraft at CWL having general maintenance so all bays are full right now.

G-YMMI after a nearly a week at CWL returned to LHR 23 Mar and was off to JFK on 26th [FR24]. Trust ok to have deleted its mention of CWL appearance on the wiki tracker above. And assume densification/NCWS/4class->3class conversion didn't happen in six days!

G-VIIN is due to be flown to LHR later today having undergone its cabin refit,

G-VIIB I believe is currently in the hanger for its refit.

G-VIIC is the next aircraft planned to go in to begin its refit according to the wiki. Does anyone know if this is still the plan or is G-VIIF or G-VIIS which are both at CWL already going to be refitted instead?

I believe IIF and IIN swapped so would assume IIF is having its refit instead.

I think (but can’t 100% confirm) that IIB is simply stored at Cardiff.

Honestly by the time we are fully back and flying again almost the whole G-VII heathrow fleet will be done! amazing! Shout out to all the engineers working in this difficult time and getting these aircrafts refurbished!

As i added in the 777 CS thread, G-VIIA went in today for refit. She’s 24 years old, so I expect after paying for refit she’ll be going for at least another 5.

I appreciate the speed in which retrofitting can be completed is still limited by the production of the seats themselves by Stelia Aerospace. but would the experts on the forum attest that the rate of retrofitting has increased? Should we expect more to be completed this year than next?

When we had the complete list of dates available the rate was two completed aircraft a month (apart from at the beginning of the project as they were also refurbing 747s at the same time). There was quite a change in the order the aircraft were to be fitted a few months ago but, with the odd exception, it's still two a month. That's the maximum capacity they have at Cardiff with each frame taking 4-5 weeks to do in their two bays.

777-236ER G-YMMK off to CWL as BA9170 to have seats removed and will fly as a ‘freighter’ (I use the term loosely as it’s not a true freighter with strengthened floors etc).

Will the "freighter" conversion slow the speed of the Club Suite rollout? Would have thought the more CS fitted airframes the better in a post-Covid world

I have no inside knowledge but I don’t think it will slow it down. These 2 frames are due to get the CS in the not too distant future anyway. Hence, they’re just removing the seats now and then when flying resumes they can go to CWL and get the new interior.

A bit of a random question, but why did BA decide to drop F from all the bunked 777s (G-YMM*) going forward? I know they want to reduce F seats, but do the routes them aircraft operate not justify an F cabin?
