Now that is just teasing me...

Email from BA...

Dear henkybaby,

For a limited time only, we're offering double Avios when you fly with British Airways, and selected partner airlines.

Simply register, book and travel on 2 long haul flights before 31 August 2016 and we'll reward you with double the Avios.

Whether you're getting down to business in New York, shopping on the magnificent mile in Chicago, or doing the samba in Rio, there's no better time to fly with British Airways. This exceptional offer is also applicable on qualifying American Airlines, Finnair, Iberia, OpenSkies, on transatlantic flights to USA, Canada and Mexico.

And remember, with a Household Account, you can pool your Avios with up to six other Members living at the same address, for free.

For more details including a full list of destinations included, and to register, go to our website.
And then this...

Thank you, henkybaby, you are now registered for this offer.

Your registration has been unsuccessful, unfortunately you are not eligible for this offer.

I am Schrödinger's Passenger.

Thanks. ^ Not that I am a man of mystery, but still a wise move.

Had exactly the same message when I tried to register, do I actually need to book the flights before registering for the offer?

Another huge question as I've never took part in those double avios is: do I get double avios on both booking class, cabin bonus and tier bonus?

Same thing happened to me today. I have booked a RT SVG-SYD in F for end of June (ANCSALE). This offer would come in handy.

Anyone been able to get hold of some BAEC reps to get a reply?

When I Google it I find a similar offer with this T&C: "..resident in the United Kingdom or Republic of Ireland"

But if that's the case, why did they do a targeted BAExecutiveClub_NO mail blast

I also received this totally useless e-mail from BAEC. Don't they know where I live!?

EDIT: I don't get it, I do live in one of the countries listed in the terms & conditions, but I'm still unable to register.

Frustratingly, UK BAEC members are not included in the offer.

I got the same letter, but just read it, didn't open it.

Now I would be more interested if they doubled the tps, since am missing lots to stay where I am.

We're the captive audience, we should just shut up and empty our wallets into BA's booking engine on direct, expensive fares with low rewards.

Gotta love this discrimination against their loyal BA based "lovers" (you know who you are!!)

Now what EU regulation can we bleed them dry on this one!
