That glitch actually allowed you to select 1A/1K but then forced you at a later date to contact CS to confess to not being worthy, as the system moved you to row 2 but erroneously kept you in your originally selected seat.

Rang, guy put me on hold for 20mins and tried everything to select them but they couldn't either so they assume to do with gold block out and told me to try again at T24.
I must be patient then 😁
Thanks for replies

OP I'm in a very similar situation to you. Due to most of my flights now being reward bookings I'm a blue member, I managed to bag 2K and 3K for my travel next week. I did manage 1A and K once, and to be honest I'm happier if I can get 2 & 3 A/K now. If the front row was open at time of booking I'd still select them over it, as would my other half.

Quite likely - at least other people have been at various points in time (there was a thread on that). Equally, it is of course possible that your case might be overlooked and you might stay. It is all a question of how risk adverse you are as there is still quite a bit of time before August for things to potentially go pear shaped, and in a way, the later this is the more the risk that there is no good alternative.

Yes, MMB is the definitive source of information, the app has a bad habit of not updating when things change. The only way I have found to force it to update is to log out of it and log in again. This tends to pull in the latest information.
