Data point : on flight from Stockholm and the cc just made an announcement asking people to put their coats under the seats. In club and theyve filled the wardrobe with bags so no room for coats to be hung.

Selfish bin hoggers

I seldom use an overhead bin preferring to have my luggage stowed below but I usually travel international to cold areas so have a coat. Now I don't mind putting my coat up on top of overhead bin luggage but why should people feel they deserve more priviledge to move my coat or make me have it on my lap for 8 or 9 hours. I see many business people putting up two bags therefore denying others even a small space for a jacket or coat. I don't think those bins were originally meant for stowing all that luggage but for coats, hats and handbags or briefcases originally. Please folks if someone has a coat or jacket carefully check to see if it can be stowed nicely instead of being a selfish arse using up all the space. Thank you.
