That's how I understand it. When a GGL agent offered me a similar courtesy they said it wouldn't be a problems to change dates within the validity period of the ticket - but if the ticket was cancelled and rebooked (i.e. a change of destination) then the Joker would be lost. This applied to both redemption and revenue tickets.

So to change dates would be no problem at all (where permitted under the ticket rules). To change destination then I understand that the Joker would (or is likely to) be lost.
