Lhr t5 - police met plane 6th dec
Walking in to arrivals I noticed a few police cars going through the control post to meet a plane, sirens blazing. Not sure what gate its at.
Any one have info?

How did you know they were going to meet a plane specifically? This is a daily occurrence. If they were meeting an aircraft, it would likely have been for disruptive passengers or known criminals/suspects requiring arrest.

I wasn't entirely accurate in my original post: one or two were already next to the plane, a third I observed going through the barriers. I used my knowledge (which obviously pales in comparison to the people on this board) to guess they would be going to the same place as the others.

It was a Lufthansa flight met by police, fire and ambulance. There was a huge audience as there was only one runaway in operation and a several planes backed up and looking on. No idea what it was about!

It is rare for LHR police to use sirens etc to meet a plane as there is usually plenty of notice of the incident.
