Aside: I don't know who wrote the copy on this page, but "By connecting to the Internet address http://www.checkmytrip.com, you access Amadeus CheckMyTrip" is possibly the most overwrought way of describing how to get to a web site that I've heard since the 1990s.

Downloaded the Amadeus app just to see how useless it was. Indeed it is useless compared to MyFlights, no surprise there.
I have a flight to Grenada on Saturday. The Amadeus app is helpfully showing my a picture of a local landmark at my destination: the Alhambra Palace in Granada. Well, I've heard it's an easy enough mistake to make... :D

My MAN-LHR-YYC trip shows a picture of a pair of female legs walking along with a trolley bag. Quite what that has to do with my trip I have no idea.

Check your ticket information to ensure you paid extra for a 'fully body ticket' and not just a 'part body ticket'.

Unfortunately CMT is such a pile of **** Maybe it's that one of the legs (see what I did there :D) needs a reissue :D

So this explains why I am seeing this on the website, but not getting any mails or seeing the booking actually change on MyFlights:

At least the website has been updated today to explain the situation!

So sad it's gone!

Unfortunately the Amadeus Corporate headquarters are in Spain and the product development is in France, so hopefully there are so similar reviews on the App stores they see locally.......

Doesn't do what it says on the tin!
A very limited app with little to know added value. The purpose of a PNR tracking app is to show you all the relevant information about your booking and any changes to it. So showing me my flight time is the only boxed checked on this app. The 'MyFlights' app I was using until Amadeus decided to block access - had PNR, E-Ticket#, Seat#, Class & Fare type, Aircraft type, and most importantly it had an alerting system to any changes made to the above components so a traveler could proactively check if changes impact their travel itinerary.

CheckMyTrip - either add all of the above components to your app or get in touch with the developer of 'MyFlights' and collaborate in providing an added value service to your customers/users.


In the meantime - please reinstate the API to 'MyFlights' app so us frequent travelers can continue to manage travel plans accordingly.

My review was posted within minutes of last nights update. It appeared at about lunchtime today, so about 18hrs give or take.

Chris has posted an update on the MyFlights Facebook page - it looks like Amadeus may acquiesce!


This has been an interesting week, and it's not even Friday yet. First off - thank you to everyone for their support - the number of supportive messages* through every medium has been overwhelming. And so in return I owe you an update.
The good news is that I've had some very positive initial discussions with Amadeus. It is early days, but there is I feel good intent to work towards a positive solution.
I'll update more as progress is made, but for now I'd say thank you to all those who have tweeted, emailed, AppStored and facebooked Amadeus requesting that they review the situation, but if they could now hold fire while we work out the next steps, hopefully we can work together for a win-win.
I'll keep you posted here on the Facebook page. Stay tuned.

I haven't really commented much on this thread so far, but certainly my views on how indispensable I find myflights are clear in many other threads. I was looking at it today and the earliest booking I have dates from 2012 so I think I was a fairly early adopter. Since then it has been essential for me, especially in the last few years when I have often had upwards of 20 future bookings which I knew were continually monitored for changes by this brilliant, simple, but powerful app. Over the years I have recommended it on here many times, and it is great to have notifications and emails whenever something changes with a booking.

I do hope that the issues get resolved with Amadeus and we can use it again. As has been said by others, I am willing to pay for this app if needed as there is nothing out there that comes close to replacing it.

Good luck with the discussions with Amadeus!

Ha! It's an old nickname I acquired at university relating to how many sugars I (used) to take in my tea!

Over the years I have weaned myself down to one sweetener now but the name has stuck

It's quite low atm. Not much booked beyond October. I also have about half a dozen bookings I can't add myflights.
